Itinerary

Day 1: We have a morning departure via Liverpool for a lunchtime stop before continuing through the Mersey Tunnel and onto the hotel for your evening meal.

Day 2: The Stream in the Sky – Today we travel over the spectacular Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen, before boarding a canal boat and taking a trip along the ‘Stream in the Sky’. The boat travels through the beautiful valley of Llangollen and across the famous Pontcysyllte aqueduct, built by Thomas Telford between 1795 and 1805 (cost included).

Day 3: Chester – Enjoy a visit to the charming city of Chester and cruise along the beautiful River Dee. Enjoy a two-hour cruise through the Eaton Estate, home to the Duke & Duchess of Westminster. There will be plenty of time to explore the unique city of Chester with its cathedral, shopping rows and largest Amphitheatre in Great Britain. (cost included).

Day 4: Llangollen – Today we return to Llangollen to board the steam railway which is primarily a steam hauled heritage railway. Our journey begins beside the River Dee Bridge in the town centre and continues for seven and a half miles upstream to the village of Carrog, where you will enjoy spectacular views over the River Dee and the Berwyn (cost included).

Day 5: Homeward bound.
