The Mumbles – There are plenty of things to do in the Mumbles, immerse yourself in the history and tradition that this area is steeped in. There is a lighthouse, built-in 1794, a Victorian pier, and if you feel the need for some retail therapy, there’s a range of highend shops, independent boutiques and quirky galleries.
Gwilli Steam Railway - Take a ride on the Gwilli Steam Railway (price included). Your train will depart from Bronwydd Arms Station to Danycoed Halt, back down to Abergwili Junction and then returning to Bronwydd Arms, 3 miles north of Carmarthen. Named after the River Gwilli, which runs alongside the railway for 4 miles, passing through picturesque farmland and steeply wooded hillsides (cost included).
Barry Island - Attracting visitors since the 1870's with the appeal of its golden beaches, cafes and family amusements. The seafront offers an extensive promenade along the entire length of Whitmore Bay beach, against a backdrop of alluring cafés and restaurants, vibrant beach huts and not forgetting the connection with the popular TV series; “ Gavin and Stacey”.
