Included Excursions

Saltburn-by-the-Sea – Today we visit the pretty seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea; once a thriving centre of the ironstone industry. This captivating Victorian town is home to a glorious pier of which you can get fantastic views if you take a ride on the oldest water balanced cliff lift in Britain. There are also beautiful gardens, plentiful areas of preserved woodland and over a mile of golden sands and rugged sea cliffs. Saltburn is also home to the infamous ‘Yarnbombers’ who often make the news with their fabulous knitting creations that appear in the town overnight.

Eden Camp – Our excursion today is to Eden camp. Opened in 1987 in the buildings of an original WWII prisoner of war camp. This is a unique and historical award-winning museum. Through working closely with veteran groups, displays that cover military history have become a collection of historical importance (cost included).

Bridlington & Beverley– After breakfast, we make our journey towards the traditional seaside town of Bridlington. With its pristine beaches and awash with history, Bridlington has something for everybody. A must-see for any visitor is Bridlington’s pre-Roman Harbour and colourful old town, being home to the beautiful Augustinian priory. There are also many independent shops, superb entertainment & glorious nature. Our afternoon is spent in the beautiful town of Beverley, know for its stunning 13th-century minster, lively markets, pretty cobbled streets and voted one of the best places to live in the UK.
