Included Excursions

Rye Market & wine tasting in Hastings - The town of Rye with its cobbled streets & narrow passages reveal architectural treasures among wonderfully preserved, medieval, Tudor & Georgian buildings, many of which are open to the public as restaurants, tearooms or pubs. Thursday is market day in Rye so be sure to grab yourself a bargain! Our next stop on today’s excursion is the Carr Taylor Vineyard where you will be given a guided tour; your guide will explain a brief history of English wine. You will get to see the winery vats and presses and learn about their various wine-making techniques and more importantly the opportunity to have a tutored tasting of some of the wines. You will also be served with tea/coffee and cake. (Wine tasting; Apr, Jul & Sept dates only) - cost included.

Weald & Downland Living Museum – Discover rescued rural homes & buildings set in a beautiful landscape in the South Downs National Park. Hear stories of the people that lived and worked in rural South East England over 1000 years ago. The 40-acre site with more than 50 buildings to explore from a replica Anglo Saxon House to an Edwardian Tin Church (cost included).

Worthing – Today we visit the traditional seaside town of Worthing. With its spectacular countryside and impressive beach, Worthing is the perfect place to enjoy the best of the coast, countryside and town. Take a walk down the promenade and famous pier or tuck into a traditional cream tea, the choice is yours!
