The Berkeley Hotel is an original Georgian listed building, ideally situated on the seafront with stunning views across Weymouth Bay to Portland Harbour and the rugged Dorset cliffs. Each of the hotels 51 comfortable bedrooms have ensuite facilities with tea/coffee making facilities, Freeview TV & hairdryer. A lift services all floors although some rooms on the first floor are accessed by a flight of stairs. Fresh, home-cooked food is served by your waitress from a varied menu. The hotel bar is on the lower ground floor and features a large dance floor with nightly entertainment and live acts.

The next port of call is Shaftesbury, a small market town with a fascinating history going back to Saxon times. Shaftesbury is also home to ‘Gold Hill’ (made famous for the Hovis advert in the 70’s).

Swanage & Wareham – Swanage beach is one of the main attractions of the town & backed by a promenade lined with amusements and attractions. Pay a visit to the Swanage Heritage Centre & Museum to find out more about this fascinating town or take a stroll down the pier, reflecting the Victorian splendour and rich heritage of Swanage. Our next stop is Wareham, one of the few remaining Saxon walled towns in England. Take a walk around the walls to find out about Viking attacks, Civil War skirmishes and gruesome executions!
